Do you have experience with fundraising? Want to teach English in Cambodia? Meet this week’s featured Partner, New Life Center Organization (NLCO) in Siem Reap, Cambodia!
Since November 2010, NLCO has been growing opportunities for children right alongside their gardens of cucumber and spinach and coops full of chickens and ducks. Currently, NLCO is home to 25 students, male and female, and offers them a uniquely holistic education with studies in language, dancing, and gardening.
In the words of NLCO,
“Education is the bedrock for sustainable change, it is a basic right that no person should be denied. Education fosters self confidence, self sufficiency and social values.”
This is an exciting immersive experience for a volunteer who would like to learn the Khmer language or become familiar with traditional Aspara dance, all while furthering opportunities for the disadvantaged students and children of Siem Reap, Cambodia. You can also volunteer from home as a fundraiser for the organization! Check out NLCO’s full volunteer information and get in touch with them today.
Not sure how to fund your volunteer trip? Not to worry! Apply for an Omprakash Volunteer Grant to help diffuse the cost of travel and lodging. Money shouldn’t get in the way of you making a difference.
