Expanidng Opportunities individualized each placement. As we have a variety of locations for internships, and volunteer service, the costs will vary according to the project and location.

Basic accomodation at the site of one of our project is kept to a minimum.  Approximately $10.00 per day will cover basic accomodation in a shared room, and standard Kenyan food, three eals per day.

Other services can be added to that or adapted depending upon the project.

Personal airport transfers can be arranged.  Use of a local cell phone and/or modem is available for a small fee.

Daily transportation costs on public transportation depends upon the location of the worksite.

The volunteer will stay in either a shared room with a same sex staff member or an airy banda alone or with other volunteers

Expanding Opportunities has an active volunteer program both in the USA and abroad. Service Journeys to Kenya occur annually. These carry a complete program fee which veries according to the purpose of the Journey. Indiviudalized volunteer and intern programs are scheduled throughout the year. Housing is in our Children's home, mid-level hotels while on the road or camping in tents. All basic food, water and in country transportation is included in he Service Journeys. Each volunteer opportunitiy is arranged to meet individual needs. Internships, gap year programs and other long term volunteer service is scheduled individually — in other words, volunteers are not "required" to be part of a Service Journey in order to serve at an Expanding Opportunities project. The costs are negotiated according to the accomodation and service you would like us to provide.
