Pillar of Hope, Kenya

the organisation has been focusing its energies in setting up a resource center in the village where we feel there is much need for comunity empowernment. We are at last happy toannounce that the effort isproving worthwhile and that the resource center has the capacity to give the society a bright future.

Through Pillar of Hope, the community has a platform for raising itsissues andthoselooking for information regarding the Ugenya community can always recive whatever they need from our administrators.

We are pleased tofinally announce a portol through which all aspects of governance and economic upliftment unites and grows for the good ofthis community suffering fromacutemarginalisation. There have beena number of resources people never utilised but through this initiative, we thrivetoensure thatthe community members recognise availableresources andmakeuse of them.

Pillar of Hope is going tolink the communitywith proffessionals who canassist people with thebest means of utilising theior resources. someof the areas we focus on aRE Such as farming, education, healthcare and much more.

for examplein farming we have different capacitieswithinthe community lessutilisedandby partneringwithproffessionals the community gets encouraged totry out someofthe initiatives we have. Currently, we have managed to start up dairy and fish farming to help in the erradication ofhunger and poverty. We link proffessionals tointerested community members to start up fish farming and this extends onto trainings for them, The month of October will be a busy one becasue we are going to organise for fish farming trainings and assist a couple of interested community members with the set up of fish ponds.

As pillar of hope, we are greatly proud of what is taking place now because we know it will grow into a huge thing and putsmiles into thefaces ofour people.
