Thanksgiving at Education Plus

November 27, 2012 | 1 comment

Education Plus Nicaragua, Nicaragua

Even though Nicaraguan's do not celebrate Thanksgiving, an American donor decided that it would still be a fun thing to celebrate and teach the kids about the concept of Thanksgiving in general.  We were able to fill a pinata with candy and coins (including some leftover halloween candy from another American donor) and purchase 17 pizzas for the kids, courtesy of our donor.  The kids had a blast, and for most it was the first time they had ever tried pizza (a luxury for people of the barrio)!  We offer a big thanks to our donor for a fabulously fun day.  It is events like this that bring an extra sparkle into our children's lives....
