I will never forget my experience with Moroccan Center for Arabic Studies. Although my experience was a short one, only 3 weeks, I felt that I learned and was able to see so much in such a short time. Being able to live in the medina in Rabat was such a unique experience and it allowed me to feel at home in a new country. The opportunities to travel to different locations all over the country, try the cuisine, teach in a school, as well as meet fellow education students really made the experience well rounded. Our guide, Ali Ben Sebaa, was very helpful throughout the entire trip. He made sure we were all comfortable and having an enjoyable experience. Not only was this experience educational, he made sure we were having fun and experiencing what students our age in Morocco do for fun. He event went as far as going with me to the doctors office when I had a sinus infection! I would recommend this program to anyone interested in an unique study abroad or volunteering experience. I know at some point in my life I will want to travel back to Morocco to see even more of what I was unable to and maybe even teach again! I would not hesitate to consider volunteering with the Moroccan Center for Arabic Studies again.
