- Candidate must have documented successes in building donor/supporter communities, and not be afraid to fundraise! Experience in online crowdfunding is a huge plus.
- This job is very hands-on and requires self-direction and extreme organization.
- Candidate must be well spoken and have excellent writing skills.
- Candidate must be detailed oriented and have great analytical skills.
- Candidate should have a working knowledge of social media and leveraging these networks for engagement.
- Candidate must be enthusiastic about online and offline engagement.
- Candidate must be a team player. We need someone who is enthusiastic about doing all types of work whether it's research, data management, or online engagement.
- A non-profit background is not required, but relevant experience is essential. Passion for the cause is a huge plus.
- Candidate who's willing to bring new ideas to the table and help expand our donor networks & improve our engagement strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Support continued communications with our donors and help build our donor / supporter community.
- Help build chapters for our organization in different cities/ universities / high schools throughout the country.
- Run our social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest) and blog according to our social media strategy & goals. Gain followers for our organization's social media outlets.
- Data management & distribute donation receipts to donors.
- Planning and management for online fundraisers, campaigns, and events.
- Work with the organization's management to form future communications and social media strategies.
- Research potential grant and partnership opportunities.
