Summary

A picture is worth a thousand words. But it takes words to say what a picture is worth.

Materials Needed

Print a picture of people, children. Make sure it is a variety of pictures.

Objectives

This is aimed at making a child to write compositions from the use of pictures. At the end of the lesson the child is expected to write an interesting composition or story.

Main Content

Step 1

Hand the children different pictures

Step 2

Ask them to use the 5W and H method of writing to descirbe who the person (s) they see in the picture, where the subcjet (s) are from, and how they lead their lives. The children should explore how the subject would react and respond to different life situations. They should be able to tell how the subject is similar or different from them.
