I suppose I'll begin by saying let my experience be instructive to all of you potential Omprakash volunteers.I left for Kenya on my Omprakash volunteer grant 12/26/09. I shot photos and videos pretty intensively for 3 weeks and left with around 20 hours of video, which is a lot of footage, and around 1000 photos.Immediately upon my return, I began my final semester of my senior year of college– my thesis was due in 4 months, I was taking a few capstone classes, and I was also working full time as a freelance photographer shooting for a number of local publications. I drastically under-estimated the time I'd have available to begin going through all of this material and shape it into something Omprakash and it's partners could use. Here we are...

This is a short video I put together pretty quickly for a video challenge that I did not win (oh well). BUT it helped me learn Final Cut and I am now using those skills to edit together MUCH better videos about this incredible school!Look for more stories and video updates to come.
