I first discovered Trashy Bags by accident, but anyone who has been to Ghana is familiar to trash, especially "pure water" and FanIce sachets (in Ghana, people drink water and ice cream out of bags!) everywhere: choking the open gutters, littering fields, and strewn along the roads. Trashy Bags, as it is written in a brochure "believes in life after death." In the showroom of the factory of Dworzulu, this was demonstrated in the rows of brightly colored bags displayed on shelves: all made from reclaimed, cleaned, and sewn plastic sachets. The ground floor was equally beautiful: Trashy Bags employs 60 seamstresses and workers to produce the bags.
