I am an American student with a strong interest in volunteering. I graduated from The Taft School, a boarding school in Watertown, CT, in May 0f 2011, and I am taking a year off before I begin studying at Yale University in the fall of 2012. I live in Connecticut and have volunteered locally quite frequently, but I have never been abroad for community service. I am excited to share my skills and learn from people who are different from me.
Skills
I have a good bit of teaching experience; I have worked with children and adults, teaching everything from Calculus to ESL. I have studied economic development as well as business and marketing in school and read extensively on the topics. I also have experience raising money (I have worked for my high school's alumni office and served as Treasurer of several clubs).
