San Diego High Schools Join Hands to Build Learning Center in Rural India

Pacific Ridge School, Kearny High School, and Cathedral Catholic High School--all in North County San Diego--are joining hands and working with Omprakash Partner MORE to help Ravi Aluganti build a Children's Resource Centre in rural India.The CRC has two main goals: (A) To serve students at 5 rural schools within a one-kilometer radius of the Centre, giving students the freedom to learn and explore at their own pace. The CRC will provide resources for hands-on learning of math, the sciences, and arts and craft. With a paid director and staff, children will learn by discussing and experiencing, increasing their love for learning and education. (B) To engage volunteers in the students’ learning process, by identifying and training both local and global volunteers.
