Haiti Finaleprint story

January 25, 2012

European Disaster Volunteers United Kingdom

It’s been about two months since our international volunteers finished their time in Haiti, and we’d like to extend a warm thank you to everyone who donated to make the 20 projects our volunteers completed possible. You can check out our thank you video at the end of this post.

Our volunteers may be gone, but I’m delighted to report that our English and Scholarship Programmes are thriving. In fact, more than 20 English students recently passed their exams, and will advance to the next level! There are photos coming soon, so stay tuned.

The students in our English and Scholarship programmes benifited hugely from our “Give the Gift of Education” this holiday season. Donors from around the world gave more than $30,000 to support Haitian students, and we couldn’t be more appreciative.

Together, EDV’s volunteers and donors have made a long-term impact in Port au Prince, and that impact will continue to multiply in the coming years. We can’t wait to update you on what your support has achieved.

One last time, we’d like to thank all of our volunteers and donors and, most especially, the Omprakash Foundation for their support of EDV projects in Haiti.
