Volunteering with Teenage Mothersprint story

 I Volunteered with Social Development International (SDI) as  a gender and social  speciallist  on the project of teaching Entrepreneurship and Advocacy to teenage mothers/Empowering teenage Mothers through education in Tole, Buea, cameroon. I have been working with SDI for some months now. My first week in SDI; I had so much work to do. Iwent to Tole to collect data on the number of teenag mothers, how many children they have, thier level of eduction and what the teen mothers aspire to become in life...in short their story as a teebnage mother. I also realise that most of these teen mothers level of education ranges form First school in primary school to form three in secondary school. As a volunteer, I was able to discuss on how to take care of their health and their children. It was a nice expirence for me being a social scientist , I was able to meet with the most vulnerable  group of teenage mothersv and share experience, knowledge and ideas with. As a coping strategy to give them smile and hope again.

I love working with them and stay connected with the organisation.
