For many people, donating money to a foreign project is intimidating: transparency and accountability are limited, and the donor receives no formal recognition of his or her contribution. At Omprakash, we hope to offer an alternative: by acting as a bridge between diverse educational projects and the many other communities that can respond to their needs, we give our donors a chance to support foreign projects without sacrificing the security of donating to a registered 501(c)3 American charity. All donations to the Omprakash Foundation can be earmarked, and all donations are tax deductible for American citizens.
